Let’s Play House!!

What mother doesn’t think back to when she was a little girl and remember with fondness her own dollhouse?  She could spend hour upon hour decorating and redecorating each room with love.  Her dolls were her family then, and she made sure they were always well cared for.

Now that you have a daughter of your own, it is only fitting that you pass those memories down to her.  Your little girl is sure to delight in spending time making her own memories.  You can certainly find the perfect doll house and accessories at My Child Playhouses.

From Cozy Cottages to Classic Cabins

There are as any different dollhouses available as there are little girls to play with them!  The possibilities for play are endless.

Consider the Greenleaf Sugarplum Cottage for a traditional dollhouse that is sweet and simple.  With silk-screened windows and real wood shingles, it is a great kit that you and your child can set up together.  Being able to design the exterior of her dollhouse as well as the set up of the rooms will make this toy even more special to your little girl.

For something a little less traditional, the Corona Concepts Shady Brook Cabin is a unique alternative.  It features a cozy loft area, and there are even built in flower boxes below the windows!  Again, you are able to design the exterior with the paint and decorative accessories of your choice.

Another option is to select a dollhouse that is large with plenty of play space.  Consider the Kidkraft Red Roof Deluxe Dollhouse.  There are three levels with a total of six rooms.  It even comes with furniture and a family!

Before making a final selection, take some time to browse.  Check out these other amazing dollhouses!  Corona Concepts Orchid Dollhouse, Greenleaf Arthur Dollhouse, Kidkraft Glamour Dollhouse Set, Guidecraft Victorian Dollhouse

Selecting a Child’s Chair

Many of you are probably thinking, “A chair for a kid?  That’s what the floor is for!”  However, with the addition of playrooms in many homes, children need seating more than ever.  Children’s chairs can be functional, and they can also add flair and whimsy to a bedroom, playroom, or family room.  My Child Playhouses offers children’s chairs and seating to match any décor or style.

Children’s chairs come in a variety of styles, so it is easy to find the perfect one.  The first thing you need to decide before selecting a chair is the purpose it will serve.  For some children, a chair simply becomes a place to lay out clothes for the next day.  However, others find them to be necessary pieces of furniture for playing video games, watching television, or reading.  Knowing the intended use of the chair will help insure that you select the perfect one.

For watching television or playing video games, check out the Game Rocker made by Comfort Research.  It comes in a wide selection of colors and fabrics, so finding the perfect one is easy.  It is sized for children of all ages all the way up through the teen years.

If you are searching for a chair that provides a comfortable place for your child to relax, you may want to look into Bean Bag Chairs or Foof Chairs.  They come in many different colors and fabrics, so you are sure to find one that matches the room’s décor.  You can also go whimsical with a fruit shaped foof chair, such as an apple, banana, or pear.

Rocking chairs are also a great choice.  They are comfortable and provide a little activity for children who just cannot sit still!  You can select a traditional rocker like the KidKraft Spindle Rocking Chair or a fun themed rocker such as the GuideCraft Princess Rocker, the GuideCraft Sports Rocker, or the KidKraft Dollhouse Rocking Chair.  Rocking chairs are great for children and can be saved to be passed down for generations to come.

You may want to choose a chair that is a little more formal, especially if you are selecting a piece to go in the family room or den.  The KidKraft SoHo Chair is a great option.  It is available in black or pink and offers kids a chance to sit in style, just like Mom and Dad!  Another great choice is the KidKraft Pink Chenille Rocker with Ottoman or the KidKraft Denim Rocker with Ottoman.  These padded chairs are excellent options for curling up to watch a movie or settling down with a good book.

If you need seating for more than one child, you may want to consider a GuideCraft Kiddie Couch.  These fun couches are available in blue, pink, and red.  They will easily hold two children, or your child can stretch out for reading or a nap.

When you select a child’s chair, you want to select one that your child will actually use.  Consider the appearance, function, and durability of each before making a decision.  Be sure to check out My Child Playhouses to find one that is just right for your child.
